Yamaha G2 Grand Piano

Kawai 5'10  - Like New - in SATIN Walnut 

 

This excellent piano was purchased NEW from us and recently traded in for a European piano. The finish is classic American Walnut with lovely grain and is absolutely perfect. The piano has a 10 yr. warranty and matching bench.

 

This piano was originally selected for use by the SF Opera, and was used by renowned conductor Maestro Donald Runnickles in his studio. The piano was built before Kawai started using composite action parts and building pianos in Indonesia. You should compare the deep sound and responsive action to any Yamaha C3 or Steinway L or O.

Schimmel 182T 6' Grand Piano

Schimmel, at one time Europe's largest piano manufacturer, builds lovely instruments of distinction. Built in 2007, this instrument has a warm clean sound and is in pristine condition. Le Monde de la Musique*, one of the leading French musical periodicals, wrote of this model, “Unmistakably developed for the demanding musician and … its excellent action which has evolved from the larger-scale brand models permits a veritable interlink with the tone. With this model C 182 Tradition, Schimmel has produced a grand piano which is capable of doing justice to the major works of the piano repertoire.”

Kawai 602T Console

 

Kawai made these great designer console pianos in their Lincolntown, North Carolina. USA facility in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They are renowned for their beautiful American cabinetry and traditional Kawai performance capability. We sold this piano new in 1990 and recently took it in trade on a new grand piano. It is crafted in Mahogany with Traditional detailing. Compare this to any new Kawai console today and you will instantly understand the wonderful value this piano represents.

Baldwin Howard Baby Grand

 

The Howard Baby Grand Piano, built by Baldwin in its Cincinnati factory, is perhaps the finest example of quality small baby grands of the 1950's and 1960's. This instrument has original Ivory keys, and a handsome, but worn, medium brown mahogany satin finish. The piano has been well taken care of, having been in the same family since new. It is a very nice baby grand but needs some cabinet attention.

Steinway A - 6'2 Parlor Grand

Exquisitely and meticulously restored, this parlor grand is as stunning visually as it is when played. The cabinetry is a rare dark chocolate oak with wheat highlights and is absolutely stunning. In the 1990's, Kawai's North Carolina facility produced these small studio pianos with quality materials and craftsmanship not found in today's Indonesian built instruments. Weinbach by Petrof  5'8" Grand Piano

 

Petrof  hand crafted pianos in the Czech Republic. This used grand piano was purchased new in 1998 from us. It was made 100% by Petrof (not like the Weinbach of today) and it is in excellent condition. Purchased new from us in 1998, this wonderful parlor grand has a Renner Action which is unbelievably quick and sensitive, and more like a concert grand piano than any of its peers. Built 100% in Berlin  with genuine German components (unlike the C. Bechstein pianos built today) it has a solid Bavarian Spruce soundboard that produces a lush full sound, fuller than many larger grand pianos. Compare this to any other European grand like Steinway, Grotrian or even the Bechstein pianos built today! It's absolutely amazing.

Steinway D - 9' Concert Grand - Ebony with Burl Inlay

The undisputed King of Concert instruments, this Steinway D is a glorious sounding beast. Originally built in 1927, the piano was completely restored in Germany this year to Hamburg Steinway specifications. Kawai GS-40 6'1 Grand Piano

 

The predecessor to today's Shigeru Kawai SK3 piano, this lovely parlor grand piano has the performance capability of pianos thousands of dollars more expensive. Built in 1990, this was the first generation of Kawai piano built in the Hamamatsu factory by its team of craftsman that today build the Shigeru series. It has a quick, responsive action and has the warmth of tone that Kawai is known to produce.

Fischer Baby Grand

 

Fischer was one of the stable of brand names made by the infamous Aeolian piano company, which also built Mason & Hamlin, Knabe, Chickering and Ivers and Pond. Comparable in quality to today's Yamaha G1, the cabinet is satin Mahogany and has some sun fading in spots. The Original Ivory keys are in perfect condition.
