The story of the pianoforte manufacturer Steingraeber & Söhne, begins in the 1820’s in Thuringia, Germany. The second generation, Eduard Steingraeber, moved the facility to Bayreuth (Bavaria) in 1852 where it remains today under the tutelage of Udo Steingraeber, the sixth generation. Steingraeber and Söhne has been the recipient of numerous international prizes, as much for its innovation and technical improvements to the piano,  as for its strict adherence to impeccable quality - a Steingraeber hallmark. Since 1906 World-renowned designers have fashioned Steingraeber piano cabinets and  continue to this day. Founded in 1885 by Gustav Johann Schiller in Berlin, the company gained its reputation with his son Friedrich Schiller. The company’s philosophy was, and still is, to offer affordable, finely crafted instruments that are highly respected for their uncompromising quality and praised for their full, rich sound, yet remarkably affordable. The Frame is made of composite cast grey iron. The Pinblocks are multi-laminate 20 ply, German made, and the soundboard is Eastern spruce. The bridges are  red beach, double pinned, and notched. The treble strings are German steel and the bass strings are wound on steel. The hammers are German Abel. Simply put, this is the best quality piano in its price range. EST. .......1885

The history of the Perzina Piano began on July 1, 1871 when brothers Julius and Albert Perzina opened their shop in the small German town of Schwerin. They officially named the company Gebrüder Perzina, which means brothers Perzina. The Perzina piano soon became one of Germany’s most influential and prestigious brands and by 1900 the Perzina factory was the largest piano factory in Northern Germany. Perzina pianos are recognized for their remarkably beautiful tone and sound.  The vertical models use the patented floating-soundboard, floating-plate, and reverse (concave) soundboard crown design. These patents and features are exclusive to Perzina manufactured vertical pianos...... EST. 1871

Started by Alfred Knight in London, England, the goal of the Knight piano was to manufacture a high class upright piano, using modern technology and well established engineering, offering an unlimited spectrum of sound with a rich thick bass for a competitive price. This goal was achieved, and Knight pianos are still characterized by a full, sonorous bass practically unheard of in vertical pianos..... Est. 1936

Ritmüller, founded in 1795, was one of the first piano factories in Germany. Subsequently well known for many innovations, Ritmüller created the double soundboard which produces the characteristic warm rich tone now known as the "special European sound". Today, using a combination of old world craftsmanship and modern computerized manufacturing, the Pearl River Group crafts each Ritmüller, paying particular attention to achieving piano voicing in demand by the most discriminating pianists. The result is that the entire Ritmüller product line is nothing short of magnificent! .......EST 1795
